AT CROSSFIT 3D WE OFFER A RANGE OF CLASSES FROM TRAINER-LED SESSIONS TO INDEPENDENT OPEN GYM TIMES. WHATEVER WORKS FOR YOU

 

CROSSFIT

A CrossFit workout, or WOD, as you’ll start to call it, is a set of constantly varied, functional movements executed at high intensity. Our CrossFit classes centre around the workout of the day and are designed to challenge your strength and stamina, and improve overall fitness. The main thing we want from our members is to master the right technique, so WODs are scaled and modified to each member’s fitness level or goal, and are performed at the highest intensity possible without sacrificing good form. We can’t hold ourselves responsible for any members who high five at the end of a class.

HYROX

As a supplement to our CrossFit timetable, we also offer Hyrox classes and are an offcial Hyrox affiliate. You can read more about it here. Hyrox combines running and endurance with some specific strength movements, such as sled pushes and farmers carries. Our Hyrox classes are completely interchangeable with CrossFit and the skills are totally transferrable. Many of our members enjoy competing in Hyrox competitions, and our classes help to prepare you if this is something you’re interested in. There are several Hyrox focussed classes throughout the week, so come and give it a go.

 

WEIGHTLIFTING

The CrossFit 3D Olympic lifting class will provide athletes with specific work on their technique to help master Olympic lifts. Classes will include drills to improve the lifts and work on increasing strength and power, before performing the lifts themselves. Plus… its fun to throw around heavy stuff. This class is where PBs are made.



 

OPEN GYM

Open gym session – a more relaxed environment where members can be responsible for their own training. Choose to spend an hour on the echo bike (no idea why you would but open gym is for you to do exactly as you want) or spend some extra time perfecting your technique so you can improve in the CrossFit classes. These sessions are not coached, although there is always a trainer on hand to offer advice and keep an eye on safety.

 

CROSSFIT KIDS

CrossFit Kids is a fun yet targeted method for teaching CrossFit to children ages 4-17. Based on the principle of Mechanics, Consistency and then Intensity, CrossFit Kids emphasises good movement throughout childhood and adolescence. The less formal explanation is that kids and teens can learn functional movements that will help them stay fit, improve in other sports and learn the fundamentals of stamina, strength and having a laugh. We offer kids classes for ages 4-11 but will consider 3 year olds joining if they are able to follow instruction. CrossFit Teens is a more focussed class where teenagers (aged 12-17) start to build on their fitness and learn correct form.
