Team Training

You could argue that every class at CrossFit 3D is team training, but the latest addition to the timetable has a competitive edge and offers something a bit different for those looking to enter the world of CrossFit competitions.

WHAT IS TEAM TRAINING?

Led by our own CrossFit athlete and coach, Mark Banner, the new team training classes develop the CrossFit skills we learn in our CrossFit classes. These more focused CrossFit sessions build on individual movements with the aim of getting member’s competition ready.

Do I Have To Be Signed Up To A Crossfit Competition To Join In?

The short answer here is no. Whilst many of our members enjoy competing in CrossFit competitions, we know that not everyone has that goal in mind. Team training is geared towards anyone wanting to improve their level of CrossFit to a more competitive standard.

Maybe you’ve not signed up to a CrossFit competition because you don’t feel ready, but you really want to give it a whirl. Earlier this year, several of our members competed at Strength in Depth. The plan is for them to do it again in 2024, representing themselves and CrossFit 3D. Team training means you can get amongst those who have been to a competition and know what to expect, and so it could give you the extra nudge you need to sign up.

Do I Have To Be Amazing At CrossFit?

We’d never deter anyone from joining in with anything at 3D and, as you know, our community welcomes everyone with big sweaty open arms. What we will say, is that team training will probably be more your bag of chips if you’re slightly more experienced and looking to really improve your tekkers and progress with CrossFit.

When is Team Training?

Team training sessions are the last Saturday of every month at 11am.

All of our CrossFit members know that regular CrossFit classes will improve your strength and endurance anyway. Team training will push you a bit harder; there’s no sandbagging allowed on the last Saturday of every month. Basically, if you’re tempted to see if you could survive in a CrossFit competition then try it. It’s also an extra chance to get to know other members more, which is always a bonus.

Do I Need To Book?

You can put Boxmate away, there’s no need to book for team training sessions. Just rock up on the last Saturday of each month (we know we’ve already said that but just to make sure no one arrives on another Saturday and has to go home feeling sad).

You can always grab Mark in the gym and ask him some more about it too.

And if you’re new around here, and this talk of team training has made you want to try CrossFit 3D, then give the 30 day trial a go…
